Well here we are. It’s just about the end of the semester, I mean really it’s finished right….? But still, I have one more paper to go.
Of course that has, in no way at all, hindered the amazing group of individuals from MCC129, Intro to Digital Media class, from bringing about the existence of a wonderful piece of creative design, in the form of our very own class blog. I, as any Editor in Chief would be, am very pleased with the effort and attention given to all areas of the page and, since “Krazy-Dreams-Uploaded” is still in its infant stage; I am sure there will be some great improvements and modifications in the future.
This project; developing, implementing and maintaining a website as a class, truly demonstrates the ability of people to work together in a group even though we all share such different backgrounds and histories. This website is a shining example of the collaboration and teamwork that can occur between different races, cultures and religions (and genders), as Malaysia is so diverse in such areas.
Krazy-Dreams-Uploaded brings to the web; views and opinions of the world, especially related to media and communication, through the eyes of a very unique group of individuals, each with their own interests and talents to share with you; the reader, and each other. Each member of this exceptional team has displayed excellent enthusiasm when working together and/or individually. I commend us all as a whole for the great job done so far, and I look forward to seeing constant updates from everyone as the degree winds on.
Together, as a class, and as a group of uniquely talented individuals, we have put together this blog for the enjoyment of ourselves and anyone else – in the world – who wishes to see the efforts of a team of very different people who have worked together in perfect concert to achieve what you see before you today.
Well done team.
That’s definitely a huge thumbs up from me; Editor in Chief:
Nicholas Han
"Cheers" and till next time: stay positive –

Humorous, Cynical and Macabre all at the same time, Tim Burton is what first comes to mind. Along with his book called The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy, a collection of short stories that mirror all of what he’s best known for in his movies such as Edward Scissorhand, Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice. This little book is filled with darkly comedic limericks or poems rather than short stories, all of which can be read under 15 minutes. But what’s so intriguing about it is that we get a glimpse into his vision of these poems through little pictures that entice and delights its readers because of its simplicity coupled with its childlike prose within the pages of these morbid tales. However, underlying all the humorous anecdotes is the recurrent theme of violence that children suffer, not only because of parental abuse, but also because of peer related issues.Perhaps I myself am still a child at heart, or worse, intellectually stunted (in other words, spastic. lol..), but I do find this tiny book an interestingly quirky read because it seems almost effortless and is yet, supremely twisted and tragic. In my opinion, it appeals to the odd child in all of us and is entertaining to read just to see what the author comes up with next. The pictures are really cute as well =) Don’t take my word for it though, here’s a lil taste of how the book would be like:
The Boy with Nails in his Eyes
Twilight series are one of the best selling young adult novels of the century!!! (No pun intended).
The first saga Entitled Twilight starts off by introducing Isabella Swan a.k.a Bella, a normal 17 year old girl who moved to Forks, Washington from Phoenix, Arizona to finish her remaining high schools years with her estranged dad (Sounds pretty boring right? BUT...). Who knew she was going to fall in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen.
All of us (I am sure) picture vampires to be violent and cruel creatures. They are, but not this clan of vampires! They call themselves vegetarians as they only drink animal blood and (Surprise Surprise!!) they hang around mortals!
Edward, like his adopted sister Alice, has the ability to read minds and he was so intrigued by Bella because she was the only person whom he couldn’t read. (FAST FORWARD) Thus, sparkles flew as their relationship grew stronger.
BUT IT DOESN’T END THERE! Bella, prone to unimaginable disasters, were hunted down by another vampire named James who were so captivated by her relationship with the vampire (Edward) and decided to make a sport out of hunting her down and killing her for her blood.
Bella was as good as dead when at last the vampire, James, was able to track her down. To save Edward from being killed and Bella’s mom who was so called being held hostage by James, she secretly ran away from Alice and Jasper who are part of the “friendly” vampire clan and surrendered herself to James.
She got bitten by James *Gasp!!* And felt her life slipping away. Edward was fast enough to track them down and killed James *Wee!!* But Bella was slowly dying and turning into a vampire, he sucked the venom out even though he knew sucking out the blood might make him kill Bella as she was still in human form.
But like all stories, she survived! (And was still human) Bella expresses her desire to be a vampire in the end but Edward refused to turn her into one.

The book is much more interesting than my review (But of course!) It kept me sitting at the edge of my sit and food was a mere want than necessity to me during the time (Honestly, was hoping to turn into a vampire myself). Still thinking whether to buy the book or just upload it from the net? My suggestion, BUY THE DAMN BOOK!!! No regrets (I promise!)
Ten thumbs up!!! (If only I had ten thumbs...) *Sobs!*
If you think the movie was awesome,
wait till you READ the book... *Evil grin*
To be continued...
